CHORDS

CHORDS is very excited about our entire 2010 year of programs, but especially thrilled to be joining the great Blue River Big Band for a concert benefitting CROSSROAD Children and Family Services - Thursday, July 8!

Thanks for visiting the official website for The CHORDS Vocal
Ensemble. We appreciate your interest!

CHORDS is a very unique musical group. We are an ensemble of
male voices - not necessarily all men! Auline Nyberg, a charter
member of CHORDS, has an absolutely stunning and unforgettable
voice. She is an integral component to the success of our ensemble,
and more importantly, just one of the guys!

The CHORDS ensemble was formed in 1988. During our short, but enjoyable heyday, CHORDS were very busy singing concerts and special events in the Fort Wayne, Indiana area. We sang at the FORTE Festival at IPFW, presented "The Star-Spangled Banner" for both the Three Rivers Festival Parade and a Wizards baseball game, and performed dozens of concerts at churches and community social functions.

After one of our members left Fort Wayne in 1992, the CHORDS ensemble chose to disband. We didn't all sing together again until the Fall of 2004. After only one four-hour rehearsal on a sunny afternoon in September, we made our comeback debut at Saint Joseph United Methodist Church in Fort Wayne. After twelve years, it felt as though we had never parted. In other words, it felt great!

Since that special day back in 2004, we have sung many concerts, worship services and special programs. In February 2006, we recorded our first CD, "Lovin' Life." We hope you will take a moment to listen to a few excerpts on our MUSIC page. We have many exciting projects in the works, so we hope you will check our website often for updates.

Thanks again for stopping in. Take some time to learn more about our members on our MEMBERS page. They are a motley crew! God's Blessings upon you and your family.
